Who is it for?

The course was developed for Fashion Design Vocational and Higher education students, but might also be used within SMEs in the industry to upskill their employees. The course is available in seven languages: English, French, Greek, Lithuanian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Bulgarian.

What will you learn?

Green VETRINE is divided into 5 chapters and each of these has 4 learning units as follows:

  1. Sustainable apparel production methods and product stewardship
  2. Exploitation of raw materials used in the apparel sector and their environmental impact
  3. Textile engineering
  4. Entrepreneurship into the apparel industry
  5. Digital Product Passport

How does it work?

The course is available for free, online. Learners may participate in an independent manner, or through a VET institution that provides the support of a VET trainer. The course is composed of 5 chapters of 4 learning units which are proposed as video lessons and a manual.

After you sign up, you’ll use a self-assessment tool:

  • The first questionnaire helps you to understand your knowledge, interests and skills related to sustainability in the clothing industry in order to define  your dynamic Individual Plan.
  • You’ll take the same quiz after completing the module to evaluate how you progressed in your needed skills.
  •

This course provides a certificate of completion to those who pass all 5 final questionnaires successfully. You must answer all questions correctly. Note, you must complete all the learning units to receive the certificate. You are, of course, welcome to just follow some chapters or learning units that you need most, but then a certificate will not be issued.

Who developed the course?

The course was developed by partners of the VETRINE project who are experts either in VET training or in specific aspects of the textile and clothing sector. See this page for more about our partners.
